Through creative, artistic, and cultural projects, the MUBR aims to highlight our collective achievements, foster a sense of pride, and celebrate the uniqueness of our region and our identity. Here are some inspiring initiatives led by the RBMU and its partners:
Northern Cultural Residencies: Driven by a desire to connect the various northern UNESCO sites, the MUBR is facilitating the creation of a network of cultural residencies involving the Uapishka Station. This initiative blends arts, sciences, and Indigenous knowledge, with creativity serving as a mirror of our shared experience of northern life.
Collective Publishing Projects: With the goal of bringing together the talents and ideas of people living in the region, strengthening a sense of belonging, and offering a showcase of the territory, the MUBR has spearheaded three publishing projects to date: The MUBR Atlas (2009, educational book), The Great Adventure in Manicouagan (2015, children’s comic book), and The Eye of Quebec (2018, coffee-table book).
