Students on Ice is the outcome of a partnership established in 2015 with the international organization. This program piloted by the MUWBR allows groups of young students to take part in educational climate change expeditions in the Arctic. Each experience lasts about two weeks onboard a scientific vessel, in the company of 100 other youth from everywhere around the world and several dozens of well-known experts in every domain.
Such calls for applications provide youth from Baie-Comeau and the surroundings with opportunities to live a life-altering experience. Each expedition provides a concrete and priceless opportunity for the youth to expand their knowledge of the world and develop the inspiration and motivation needed to serve as agents of change in their community.
