Our territory

After a patient erosion of millions of years, combined with the collision of a huge meteorite, the crushing passage of glaciers and an ancient sea which have polished the land, our territory is the vestige of the most powerful phenomena Earth has ever known. They contributed to shape our land in a unique and very spectacular way.

The RMBMU is one of the largest reserves of its kind on the planet. It has the size of an entire country. Its crater, its constructions, its marine mammals, its forests and its rivers, everything is giant!

cartography

The three major areas of sustainable (social, economical and environmental) development are illustrated in maps presented below. We also added a map showing the research area and another one about the native area taking into account  the aquisition of knowledge and Innu reality are directly linked with sustainable development in our territory. One last map shows the location of the RMBMU in the Province of Quebec.
