This photographic and cartographic atlas illustrates the main components and the exceptional nature of the RMBMU.
It specifically wants to foster a sense of belonging to the people from here, especially young people, to our territory, to our community, to our challenges and to promising projects from our area.
From the Innu history to the early industrial development, from the Groulx Mountains to the St. Lawrence River, this book provides an illustrated overview of our region by focusing on the concept of world biosphere reserve of UNESCO, on the opportunities available to the Manicouagan and on our vision of a model region for sustainable development.
Distributed free to students of Secondary V and and the CEGEP de Baie-Comeau, the Atlas of the Manicouagan-Uapishka World Biosphere Reserve is both a reference book and an object of pride. The project funding partners are the Forum jeunesse Côte-Nord and the Fondation Alcoa. The Atlas is for sale on this Website and in different local stores such as Trés'art d'ici, Écobois, L'Antipasto, the Jardin des glaciers, the A à Z library and Fleuriste au Tournesol. |
